Updates~~

To my loyal readers:

Sorry for not updating, i kinda like unofficially hibernated my blog for a month...

So a month has passed by, just like that... So long, yet so fast. And many things had happened, some very happy moment, and some, disappointing and sad...

Just 2 days into the semester, something bad happened in my family. My beloved grandmother, 85, passed away. Not gonna say much..................

Despite of that, there's still hope in this world. Something unexpected (well, actually not that unexpected =P) also happened. The Taylor's Hyenas participated in the first ever inter-college dodgeball tournament in Malaysia, The Battle Royale '08. And guess what? We won... duh~h... It's the Hyenas man... Anyways, thanks for all the support... (Dodger pics at the end of the post)

Other than that, the rest of the semester was pretty much okay. As I've said, this is my last semester, and a stress-free one... Or is that so? Well, the Ah Leong classes were typical, with regular "jokes" and laughs in class. Theatre was fun and interesting, yet potentially frustrating. Just to get everyone to agree on a time to practice itself is a problem, as our timetable varies a lot from each other. But overall, I'm currently having fun... Not complaining...

And now... birthday shout-outs (all in Sept):

  1. 901: Ken Ling. One of the Hyenas, a crazy one. Highly energetic, outgoing and friendly. A very capable leader as well. Wish you all the best in life (and taking over my treasurer post hehe...)
  2. 911: Dianne. Ms. 4.0 (with a W). Oops, I know she hates that...but, I like teasing her =P. Sorry. Highly intelligent, and quite the carefree... A very good friend indeed. All the best!
  3. 915: Xin Yi. A great cook. Has a perfectly compatible taste buds as me, though i kinda suck at cooking (comparatively speaking)... Anyway, thanks for the great hospitality during the party. And also, all the best!

Can I stop blogging now? Kinda lazy and it's kinda late d...

So now, meet the dodgers:

Enter the Hyenas! Hyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeyeye~~~

What's that?

Special thanks to our supporters...

A new beginning...

Summer break was meaningful, and I spent every second of it without any regrets.

As mentioned before, I had ADP Prom, TOEFL, then worked part-time. That was the first week. And after earning cold hard cash... it's time to have FUN! My cousins came over for a few nights and we spent time talking about the old times. Then on Friday, I went to Genting with a group of friends and we chilled up there, though the weather there wasn't as chilling as before. Photos are at the end of this post.

And without realizing it, the break came to an end. Today's the first day of Fall Semester, where all the freshmen came in (for the first time) for their orientation. They kinda remind me of who I was a few semesters back, when I was a freshman. Excited and at the same time, blur... But now, here I am, having my last semester in ADP, and I plan to enjoy every little bit of it.

Anyway, I went to the office to take the Add/Drop Form and check the timetable (the BIG one). A particular subject caught my attention. ENGL 101 - 10 Sections, that really made ADP History. Hehe... Then it's lunch, and I met up with an old friend, who stays just a couple of blocks away from me. Ironic huh, staying so near, yet din catch up with each other. A year ago, I'm half a head taller than him. Now, it's the total opposite (damn!) Then around 4+, the Hyenas had their first dodgeball training to prepare for the upcoming Battle Royale. It was fun, throwing and dodging balls from each other. We went home around 6.

That was about my day. Let's just hope that tomorrow would be better. Now, enjoy the photos:

Dinner at Pizza Hut...

Went for a walk outside, nice weather...

Not a bad day after all...

Today is 080808. Well, it's a very auspicious date (according to Chinese). So what happens? Beijing Olympics? Well that, among others too. Yes, I'm working today, on the day that marked the Olympic History, and the day that marked the 19th year of my existence in this world...

Well, at first I thought that working (10am-8pm) on my birthday would be quite a sad case, but it doesn't seem so after all (apart from standing whole day =P). Let's take the morning ride to work for example. I took a train to my workplace and as usual, it was actually extremely packed. The first train came, can't get in. 2nd train came, still have to wait for my turn. Then the third train came. Guess what? It was empty, literally. So i got to sit and don't have to squeeze with people. Thank God.

Then I got to my workplace - KLCC. As usual la, people that know what's happening did whatever that's necessary, and work started. It was a sail throughout the day till I had my lunch break. Well, some unexpected (but good and kind) souls dropped by to pay my friends and I a visit. Well, a picture tells a thousand words. Enjoy:

3 great souls (from left): Manu Rao, Sue Ann, See Ying

Additional good soul: Dhaya (right) and MUA~HAHA

The hardworking people posing with the exhibitor tag...Cheh~~~Hehe...

Sean and Eric were there too, but they were Sushi-ing, so din take pics. After lunch, it was back to work, all the way till 8pm, then home. My cousins (3 of them) are temporarily staying in my house, so what to expect? (You Know What). Anyway, had a great dinner - dad tapau mamak mee (was awesome), cuzzie tapau KFC, n mom bought the cake. Great, I'm gaining weight....hehe nvm la once a year...

So in conclusion, thank you everyone for making my day happy. Wouldn't wanna put names here, in case I miss out any n get screwing, HAHA... and now, I'm gonna go to bed. Tmr's another long day. Till then...

P/s: The "posted" time was fake, just wanna make it look cool...=P

End of Summer?

OH YEA, Summer Semester is finally over, with our final paper done last Friday. Man, it was really "zhadou", copying answers like nobody's business (not even the lecturers'!). NO, not psycho exam (siao meh?!). It was LAN. Well, LAN mah...nobody give a shit, honestly. So, a few people to thank here: Lui lui, for providing us the "shortcut" to get out of the room in 30 minutes safe and sound, and Mr Loh, for being "blind", or rather, staring at me but still don't do anything (hehe, rocker wei!). Anyway, finals is over, so just wait for the results and enjoy as much as possible at the moment.

With that out of the way, we can finally move on to our highly anticipated event of the year: ADP Prom. Everyone's been busy since morning, getting the deco stuff ready, the stage setup, sound check, goodie bags etc etc. The Prom Committee has really put in loads of effort in it, and the night went on quite smoothly, and very well organized (said by K.C. Cheong himself). So... a big hand to them.

As for my night, it was great. Really enjoyed the time spent with my friends camwhoring, chatting and making fun of each other. Besides, the food was not too bad, I liked the mushroom soup and the cheese cake, it was AWESOME. Performances were (at least) not very disappointing. Some great ones were the band (Ring of Fire) and Shafiq's acoustic solo. I find the dance a lil funny, but nevertheless, they were great. Next, lucky draw session was interesting. We had a few lucky ones (3 friends in the same car won 4 prizes), and some generous ones (wonder if it's for showbiz...hehe jkjk). The dance floor was opened around 10.30pm, and I danced a while, then ciao home. Here are some nice photos taken (thanks Eric). Enjoy:

Introducing the "Barney" family...

From left: Isaac, See Ying, Alvin, Sue Ann, MUA, Dianne, Pui Man, Suet, Eric

The Barneys with Ms. Janice

Jack, you really know how to make an entrance =)

After dancing: looked tired n sweaty...hehe...

Well, I kinda had to leave slightly earlier to go home and sleep. Why?

That's why. Had TOEFL exam the next morning (and it just had to be on a SUNDAY). Well, it was quite okay, considering the fact that I didn't have sufficient sleep and caffeine before the test. And the damn exam room was freaking cold, to the extent that you can freeze to death. Now just hope that I'll get the minimum score that's required by the universities.

Alright, finals are history, prom's over, TOEFL's done. Semester break officially starts. But is this the end of summer? Too soon, isn't it? Many more great adventure awaits me during the break, and this is just the beginning of the end. So people, till then. I'll be back...

Pre-finals' Post

Yes ppl, finals are coming... and I'm nowhere near prepared yet. I mean, I'm mentally prepared, but going to exam without sufficient revision is a bad idea. Learnt that lesson after my DE mid term. I was quite dissappointed with my results as it was not what I expected. Carelessness is one thing, but anyway...learnt my lesson. Will prepare way beforehand next time. Same goes for speech.

Today's Ern's birthday. So we had a celebration for him in Hui Min's house. Yea man, we cooked ourselves a not-too-bad meal, considering the mess we made at the kitchen (sorry Min hehe...). We had fried pork chop, chicken slices, fried potatos and butter prawns (which i din eat). We hanged out there till around 4+, then cleaned up n went home. It was fun cooking though, but we spent awfully long to get everything cooked cause there's only one pan, one wok and one stove. Do the math.

Next, I'm kinda like having this very very weird feeling...that something unusual's gonna happen to me. I dunno what is it, and I dunno why, but I just have this weird feeling. Could you call this a premonition? I hope not, cz i like my current life. If the change is for the better, by all means. But I'd rather not take my chances. Weird could be good; it could also be bad. But I'm still fine ppl, no worries =)

Now, here am I, posting this blog, and wishing Ern a Happy Birthday, and wishing him all the best in his life. And as u all know, I don't post frequently. So the next time u see me will be when I'm either very bored/free, or I really have something that can't fit in my mind, and needs to be poured out. Till then...tata...

The Weekend...

Argh! Of all times...why now? I just hate it man, waking me up at 8 a.m. in the morning while I normally till the sun shine my ass out. The phlegm just can wait to get out of my nose and mouth, and the throat just have to itch at this time. Sorry if it's not in good taste, but yes, I'm sick, literally. I'm having quite a bad flu now, which I really hate a lot. Who doesn't? No curry, no KFC, no ice cream and basically, no life... But no matter, I still had my fav Pan Mee (soup rather than dry this time) this morning and drank honey, hopefully it gets rid of my damn flu... Btw Sue Ann, thanks for the honey n soup yesterday, was really nice. =)

Illness aside, the weekend was pretty great. There was a major event on Friday as it was 4TH OF JULY. We ADPians had a BBQ party at main campus. It was not too bad, despite not having a lot of people. But the dodgeball court was packed with people playing, glad to see that. And thank god, it wasn't raining. Then at nite, there was a concert at the Multi Purpose Hall, featuring the U.S. Air Force Band. I don't know where the heck they come from (any answer but U.S. please), but they were great. Though I didn't stay throughout the concert, I certainly enjoyed every second of it. So, to y'all Americans: Happy Independence Day!

On Saturday, I went over to Klang to help some of my friends with their English project... We went to a centre which takes care of mentally challenged people and paid them a visit. We had games with them, did some performances, sing with them and basically made them happy. I think that people should actually visit them more often and care more for them as they are underprivileged and needed to be cared for... so yea, we hanged out till 2.30 pm, then went for lunch, then ciao home.

And today, I spent my time working on assignments, doing research on uni etc etc... I'm still coughing my lungs out, and can barely concentrate. Hopefully a miracle happens tmr... Till then... nitez...

Presidential Debate '08

It's been a while since I've been here, so u could say i'm still in my busy days.

Nevertheless, I'm still here, updating all of you about what's happening recently. Yes, just mere hours ago, our ADP annual Presidential Debate for parties running for Student Council had just ended. Overall, I would say that it was interesting, though less exciting that last year's, considering the fact that there were only 3 parties competing this term instead of 5. The debate was split into 4 sections: introduction, questions from current Council members, comments from the floor, and closing.

Now, let's introduce the contenders this term:
1. From FCUK's, Sean
2. From FU, Ben Jin
3. From U-Bun-Tu, Michael

All, are great men and all, are great friends.

What happened:
The debate started off with each president introducing themselves and their respective parties. Simple? Not if you have too little or too much to say. Some went overtime, some had ample time, quite bad for a first impression eh?

Up next was questions from the current council members, where the current council members "grilled" them alive. They question the presidents regarding their party policies, capabilities as a leader etc etc. The grilling was rather interesting, seeing how the Council shot them with questions and how they reacted to it.

Then comes the fun part, comments from the floor, also known as the "banging" session. Yeah baby! It's where everyone gets to voice out what they feel like voicing out, and shoot questions, disagreements and comments at the presidential candidates. And this was the bomb! Everyone of them practically got bombed, one way or another...

Lastly is their closing, nothing special.

Now, for my closing, I wanna sleep now. So good luck n all the best to all campaigners. Nitez ppl...=)

Updates~~

Yes lu, quite bz lately... and still is... but i'm still not dead, so dun worry...

So...updates for the past couple of weeks:

1. Assignments piling up...
2. PASS tutoring...
3. Basketball, dodgeball and dancing was fun...
4. Had a few tests n presentations...
5. Fking LAN...yes, "FUCKING"

And basically...today is not really a good day for some of us...

Morning was fine, speech class went on smoothly, had a few laughs, did some presentation, and had some fun too... My "nightmare" came in the 2nd hour of D.E., where we FINALLY (yes, after weeks of "anticipation") had our first quiz. Well, it wasn't as bad as i'd expected, it's just that the questions that Ms Theresa asked were not so clear cut as is was before (Calculuses). According to her, we are already of "higher order", so we're kinda expected to know all these little surprises. The paper was actually fine, it's just that I, being the forever "smart alek", finished 15 mins earlier and left. And guess what...I bloody misinterpreted 1 whole question wrongly and there goes full score. Not really my day huh? Should've double/triple checked b4 i leave..."SMART" LAH!!

To make things worse, during LAN class, our lecturer asked us to present our answers for a quiz. It's a quiz based on critical thinking, which means there's no right or wrong. But that bitch just has a problem with the whole class and failed more than half the class just like that. Even the usually "couldn't be bother" me also felt very tulan with her, not only because she failed half the class, but because of the way she speaks, really feel like smacking her man...

Anyway...overall day was pretty OK LAH... just had a few moments of anger and dissappointment. Have things to attend to now...so nitez and tata...

Life thus far...

Life's been good, quite stable, had a lot of fun...

Was having my semester break a couple of weeks ago. I went to Perhentian Island during the 1st week of my break (for full details, see my previous post), then went to Melaka the following week (see here). It was a blast, had lotsa new experiences, had lotsa fun, and made some new friends... The best break I had thus far...

Now that sem break's over, I'll be going back to my much busier life. Summer semester started a week ago, with more responsibilities in hand. With club activities, killer subjects and PASS session all in a short semester, I can foresee that I'll have little free time. But this is the life I chose, and I love challenges anyway, so...bring it on!

One little dissappointment in this semester is that there is no Buddy Program this semester. WHY? It is such a good program, and it proved to be quite successful last semester. Honestly, without the Buddy Program, I don't think I'll even know any of the new faces around (it's true, I don't know any of the Summer freshies thus far). Besides, I made a really good buddy out of it. So, please revive Buddy Program (Ms Lim, hopefully u'll see this =P).

Today's Wesak Day, a day to rest and for Buddhists to pray. So people, have a good rest...

Normal Day =P

It certainly does feel a lil weird, for being able to wake up late, not having anything to do the whole day, calling up random ppl and ask them to go hang out...but hey, it's fun man...and it is what we're supposed to be doing during the break...

Yesterday, woke up around 9am, which was considered as early to a LOT of ppl (coz i slept quite early the nite before =P). Anyways...woke up, wash up, eat up...and it's only 9.30. Having nothing to do till 12pm, i dug up all my DVDs and picked one that i haven't watched yet (yes, i stock up for times like these...hehe). So, i watched Red Line till 11+, then get ready to go to Sean's house.

I was supposed be at his house at 12, but that baby boy was out somewhere having his breakfast (more like lunch since it's 12). So i gotta stone for another half n hour and wait for him to get his ass home...hehe...I reached there around 12+ and started practising for our performance. I selected a new song and he has to practise it...and surprisingly he didn't get pissed. Sorry for last minute changes ya...

We practised  till 3+, then Dianne came over and we went to pyramid. Had MUA lunch (they already had theirs), went to buy Pao Yi's bday present, and again....ARCHERY...haha it's a very addictive game, finish 50 arrows still feel like continuing. We went home around 6.30...

Yea, that's abt it...first day of sem break...Conclusion: i went to Pyramid 3 days in a row...which i seldom do...

Can't wait for the weekend to come...where we'll be spending time at the beach....wakakaka...

While it might be a Saturday to most of y'all, it certainly is NOT to me...

Today, i gotta wake up early like any other weekdays, to go to college to "work" our ass out. Well, it's actually like this...

We, people who are currently taking Physics I and II, are required to attend a somethin somethin called "Problem Based Learning" session. It's actually a class activity that is suppose to emulate the corporate world, whereby you need to "work" from 8am to 5pm (normal hours are 9-5, damn!).

And what's worse? Of all the days he can pick, my lecturer actually chose the weekend b4 finals to do this thing. Come on la, please be a lil considerate and let us have more sleep time and hence, more time to study. Seriously, if this PBL thing doesn't carry any weightage on our grades (which it does - 15%!!), i would just bloody screw it...Fortunately, it's kinda guaranteed that we'd get full marks for it, so Gary Shia, don't complain so much as u're on the verge of losing your A.

Nuff said abt that. Last nite, went for dinner with mua high school mates, did a lot of catching up, many many old memories recalled, and the best part....we're still as close as ever. YEAH MAN S3 FOREVER! Though, it's kinda sad that not many turned up...but nvm la can always have another gathering again...Haha...

Went to Marco's Pizza for dinner...

At Wei's house...looks like daytime? It's already 10+pm.

Special request...

After so many unsuccessful attempts by so many random people to persuade me to start blogging, someone finally managed to do so... and i honestly dont know how the heck she did it.

Yes, i'm talking about you, Loo Sue Ann a.k.a mua buddy/hengdai... see how influential (and perhaps inspirational?? =P) are you to my life? Haha...

So now, here am i, spending time writing up my 1st post while i should be sinking my head into tons of textbooks and exercises, studying for the final exam, which is in 3 days time. But then, since my buddy requested for it, okay lor, sacrifice some time to write lor...not like i'm gonna study if i'm not blogging rite? (cheh...lan ci betul...=P)

So what's so special about this buddy that needs my special attention?

We first met in a little world known as ADP thru a program called "Buddy Program". And there, i have a BUDDY~~ lalala...and then, not so long ago, Buddy got promoted to HengDai - thru a special drink called milktea...hahaha... Conclusion: all thanks to milktea, i've got myself a good friend and a cool buddy!

Well, of course there are lots of issues that made this "heng dai" bond a success, some of them which involves trust, but all those are just too hard to put into words (a better way to say "malas" la...haha). So what i can say is...

Thanks for all your support when i'm down, i'm really glad to have known such a nice person like u...and thank you for trusting me, i promise that i wont betray that trust. Hehe...

Okay la, nuff said...wanna go study d...good luck n all da best in ur finals ya heng dai! Will definitely miss u during the holidays...to the point that i might actually go to Klang and hunt u down...HAHA...
